Filming Diary 3/12/13

Today we practiced lip syncing and filmed lip syncing the song in the music block. I was the lip syncer. We only used a variety of three shots for the entire length of the song. I had to lip sync 'human' by the Killers despite being the only member of the group to not like the song or know the words. Also we had a member off ill so the task was made slightly harder.

Audience Profile - Indie

The target demographic for the indie rock genre generally has a rather sizeable range as the type of music is usually entry-level easy listening, and can be related to by most young and middle aged folk. This positions indie rock more towards the mainstream area of the current market. As a result of this, there is a large variety of listeners, of all ages and sizes. However, the majority of listeners are between the ages of 16 and 25 for males, and about the same for females, but there are slightly more male listeners than female.

Music Video Storyboard Video Planning

To plan for our main music video project we drew a storyboard for the song 'fluorescent adolescent', then cut it up into squares and took pictures of each square. We then edited the stills in iMovie to make an outline of a music video.
